Langille, Donald Whitman - 74, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Blandford, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Whitman and Sadie (Mason) Langille. Donald joined the R.C.A.F. in 1953, and spent all of his working life in the Canadian Military. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia (Renkewitz) Langille, Berwick; daughters, Ivy (Kevin) Langille-Byrne, Hammonds Plains; Pamela (Gary Clarke) Langille, Oliver, Colchester Co.; Holly (Bryan) Harris, Berwick, son, David (Heidi) Langille, Ottawa, Ont.; grandchildren, Joshua, Katherine, Kenneth, Gregory, Brendan and Michael; great-granddaughter, Ava; sisters, Maxine (David) Davies, Martins Brook; Linda (Les) Silver, Yarmouth; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Ian; daughter-in-law, Marlene Langille. Visitation for Donald will take place 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 22. Reverend Linda Winton officiating.
