Kingston, Kings Co., formerly of Aylesford, Kings Co., a prolific playwright, poet, songwriter and Jazz pianist, died on Thursday October 1, 2009. He wrote at least 32 stage plays, three full-length musicals and countless poems. One stage play in particular - Satin Doll - won two distinguished awards and had a run On-Broadway. His full length musical Majic was produced at the Historic Hedgerow Theatre just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was composing poems up until the day that he died. Ed was born one of seven children in Kenora, Ontario. He had a piano tuning and repair business for over 30 years in Ontario and The Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. Ed is survived by his wife Donna, five children, 13 Grandchildren, and his siblings Irma, Jerry, Helmut and Fred. He was preceased in death by his brother, Wilf and his sister, Betty. There will be no funeral service, however there will be a celebration of his life on Tuesday, October 6th at 3:00pm. Celebrations will begin at 1517 Magee Drive, Kingston, Kings Co. We will proceed to two areas for distribution of his cremated remains and meet at 6:30pm at the Greenwich Fire Department in Greenwich, Kings Co., for a meal and music.
