88, West Brooklyn Kings Co., passed away Saturday March 7, 2009 surrounded by his loving wife and his girls, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in New Ross Lunenburg Co., he was the son of the late Everette and Georgie (Pineo) Hiltz. He was the last surviving member of his family. Clayton was a resident of West Brooklyn for many years. He enjoyed farming, gardening and horses. He is survived by his wife of 32 yrs., Barbara Hiltz; daughters, Barb (Ron) Pick, West Brooklyn Mtn., Jean Leopold (Rob Lake), Curry's Corner, Windsor, Blanche (Keith) Crossley, Three Mile Plains, Gertie (Doug) Brown, Sweets Corner, June (Wally) Pagne, Hants Co., Marilyn (Fred) Kelly, New Minas, Bernice (Lester) Fisher, Wolfville; son, Clyde (Karen) Hiltz, Windsor; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Clayton was predeceased by his son, Tim Hiltz; grandsons, Dennis and twins, Mitchell and Brandon; sisters, Roxie and Ethel; brothers, Lindsay, Lorne, Harry, Ottis, Marshall and Gordon. Visitation for Mr. Hiltz will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday March 10 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville (902-542-2151). Where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 11. Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating. Interment will take place in Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia or to a charity of choice.
