91, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late George and Alice (Reeves) Kelley. Mildred was a member of the Christ Anglican Church, Berwick and the Women's Guild. She had been involved with the Somerset Home and School and had made and sold bread and donuts. Mildred and her family moved to Ontario for a time, where she had worked at Sears, later moving back to Nova Scotia where she lived the rest of her life. She was a strong devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mildred will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are sons, Donnie, Russell & Greg Jones, all of Berwick; Roger and Gary (Maria) Jones, all of Brampton, Ont. daughters, Marjorie (Lester) Murphy, Windermere; Bonita (Warren) Nickerson, Cape Sable Island; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence (Eleanor) Kelley, Brampton, Ont.; Malcolm (Helen) Kelley, Aylesford; sisters, Marjorie Murphy; Gertie Hersey & Velma Belliveau, all of Berwick; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Raymond Jones; daughter, Edith Corkum, grandson, John Paul Jones; brothers, Vincent & Cecil Kelley; sister, Jeannette Lutz-Hicks. Visitation for Mildred will take place 7-9 p.m., Monday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 10. Rev. Charles Bull officiating, with a reception to follow. Burial in the Berwick Cemetery, at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch or to any charity.
