69, Wolfville, Kings Co., passed away Sunday February 15, 2009, at home. Born in Black River, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Hancock) Welch. Lavine had many hobbies that she enjoyed to keep her busy, learning to paint, puzzles and reading. She had enjoyed fishing in her younger years. Lavine had a great love for her grandchildren and spending time with her friend Carolyn Kennedy. Surviving is her life long companion, Tom Pinch, West Brooklyn; son, Guy Kelly, West Brooklyn; daughters, Margaret (Jim Arenburg) Kelly, Cambridge, Ontario; Mary (Gary) Dominey, Weston; Gaye (Steven) Corbin, Medicine Hat, Alberta; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Stanley Goler; Eugene Welch. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 568 Main St., Wolfville, (902-542-2151), from where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday February 20. Rev. Barb Cochran officiating, with burial in the West Brooklyn Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the West Brooklyn Baptist Church Building Fund, the M.S.
