77, Kentville, passed away Friday September 5, 2008 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Westaver) Corkum. Lillian was a hard worker, she sold Sarah Coventry, worked for Amway, Watkins, Ann's Restaurant, and was a homemaker. Lillian was a resident of Evergreen Home for Special Care for the last 2 yrs. She was an avid knitter, enjoyed puzzles and playing bingo. Lillian had a special love for children and animals. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Connie (David) Craig, Liverpool, Betty MacCumber, Kentville, Catherine (Conrad Schofield) Dewolfe, Sheffield Mills; sons, Roy Jr. (Mary) Hines, Centreville, David (Sylvia Campbell) Hines, Centreville, Kenneth (Mary) Hines, Centreville, James (Susan) Hines, Centreville, Joseph (Marilyn) Hines, Avonport; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roy Hines; brother, Frank Corkum; grandson, Jason and 1 great grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Hines will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday September 8 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday September 9. Reverend Peter Lohnes officiating. Interment will take place in Canard Burial Grounds. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to a charity of choice.
