83, Millville, Kings Co., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in South Farmington, Annapolis Co., she was a daughter of the late Percy and Emma (Fitzgerald) McMaster. Helen enjoyed attending card parties and she donated faithfully to all charities and canvassers that came to her door. She was a good housekeeper and, along with her late husband Harvey, took great pride in their property. Helen is survived by her sister, Ruth (Jack) Lee; numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her loving and faithful companion, Mougie the cat. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Keddy; nephew, Freeman Taylor (whom Helen and Harvey raised). Arrangements have been entrusted to Lohnes Funeral Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick (902-538-9900), where the funeral service will also be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, Pastor Chuck McGuire officiating. Interment will follow in Morristown Cemetery. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to Kings County SPCA, P.O. Box 248, Kentville, NS B4N 3W4, or a charity of one's choice.
