58, Berwick, Kings Co. passed away Sunday January 6, 2008, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Irleen Fredericks. Burt will be missed for his jokes and attending flea markets throughout the valley. He enjoyed visiting his friends for coffee. Burt enjoyed his job as a crosswalk guard in Berwick, where he loved to help the children and keep them safe. He will be sadly missed by his many family & friends. Surviving are his wife, Linda Haggerty; step-children, Steven (Crystal) Haggerty. Karen (Steven) Ramey, all of Berwick; brother, Percy Fredericks, Clementsvale; sisters, Barb Fretwell, Windsor; Beatrice Ferguson, Ont.; Mae Fredericks, Dartmouth; Rose Doucette, Saskatoon, Sask.; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill Fredericks. Visitation for Mr. Fredericks will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday January 8, 2008 in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 192 Commercial St., Berwick. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday January 9, 2008 in the Berwick Baptist Church, 265 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating. Burial will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the H.C.
