Born in Berwick on March 20, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Grant and Bessie (Bruce) Keddy. Violet enjoyed her cottage at Ogilvies Wharf, that she and her late husband, Clifford built in 1963. She enjoyed her flowers, bird watching, shopping, family outings and her animal family including her much loved dogs and cats. She was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church. The most important thing in her life was her love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ted) Sammon, Port Williams and was very proud of and loved her granddaughter, Kelly Sammon, Calgary, Alberta and grandson, Sean Sammon, Belize, Central America, all of whom loved and appreciated her sharp sense of humour and straightforward opinions. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Phyllis Davis; step grandchildren, Marilyn Davis; Shirley Rayner; George Davis; step great grandchild, Carley Rayner, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; step grandchildren, David and Donna Dixon, Bridgewater, (son and daughter of the late Kenneth Dixon); sister-in-laws, Dorothy (Dot) Keddy; Evelyn Keddy and Leta Keddy and their families. Violet was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Lorimer Dixon in 1964; and her second husband, Louis Wear. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by sister, Lillian; brothers, Fred, Warren, Roland and Harry. She was grateful for her long time special friends who helped and loved her unconditionally, Arthur and Joan Salsman; the Bradshaw Family, Halifax; Dave Trumble, Perth, ONT. and Mabel Jodrey, (a school friend), Morristown; Mrs. Tom Bligh, Berwick; all the special homecare workers "the girls" that gave her such comfort and companionship.
