76, Grand Pré Kings Co., passed away Thursday January 8, 2009 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Barbie worked as a telephone operator at Maritime Tel & Tel in Middleton for a number of years. In Halifax, she volunteered at the IWK Children's Hospital for over 14 yrs. She enjoyed outdoor activities, including bird watching and cross country skiing. At home, her hobbies included many creative sewing and quilting projects. The many friends to her home always enjoyed her talents in the kitchen, especially the preparation of wild game. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Barbie was predeceased by parents, John W. and Carrie Mosher; husband, Eric L. Dodge; brother, Johnny. Surviving are her loving husband, Lloyd, Grand Pré; daughter, Melodie, New Glasgow, P.E.I.; son, Kevin (Brenda), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Bryan and Tony Flemming, Ryan and Ross MacNeill, Cody Duncanson; sister, Florence Lowe, Ont.; brother-in-law, Malcolm (Joan) Dodge, Middleton. There will be no visitation by the family's request. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday January 12 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 568 Main St., Wolfville, N.S. (902-542-2151). Rev. Mark Shaw officiating. Interment will take place in Hortonville Cemetery, Grand Pré. Family flowers only please.
