58 of Windsor, passed away Monday November 24, 2008 at his home in Windsor, N.S. Born in Gibson Woods, he was the son of the late Hugh and Florence (Viner) Gibson. Hugh was a hard worker, working as a general labourer for many years throughout Nova Scotia. He enjoyed fixing anything that he could for anyone. Hugh loved caring for his plants. He also enjoyed talking on his CB radio, reaching as far as South America. Hugh is remembered for being courageous and never complaining about his ailments. He was a selfless man who thought of everyone before himself. He will be sadly missed by his many family and friends. Hugh is survived by his daughter, Francene (Jonathan) Comeau, Halifax; sisters, Lesley Gibson, Brampton, Ont.; Lucy (Cpt. Henry) Harris, Orlando, Fl.; nephews, George, Cameron, Brian and Billy; niece, Ida; several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Hugh was predeceased by a brother and sister. Visitation for Mr. Gibson will take place from 4-8 p.m. Friday November 28 in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday November 29. Chaplain Jim Norton officiating. Interment will take place in Canard Burial Grounds. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Diabetes Association of Nova Scotia.
