69, of Kentville, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Friday, April 10, 2009, at home. Born in Milton, Queens Co., she was a daughter of the late Leaman & Isabel Cunningham. Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Curtis and by a brother, Leaman. She is survived by daughter, Sharon Mae Fowler (Paul), Coldbrook; son, Curtis Richard Dexter (Gwenn) Glenmont; daughter, Dolores Ann Patterson (Kevin), Hantsport; daughter, Mary Louise Johnson (Carl), Kentville; son, David Wade Dexter (Sharon Moors), Kentville; and son, Michael Scott Dexter (Stephanie), Waterville; grandchildren, Melissa, Lindsay, Owen, Jennifer, Karah, Richard, Kayla, Rebecca, Andrew, Hannah, Zachary; great-grandsons, Dylan and Jacob. She is also survived by brothers, Victor, Murray, and Donnie; sisters, Mildred, Carol, and Janet and their spouses. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, both in the H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, N.S., B4N 2K5, (902-678-2151). Chaplain Jim Norton officiating. Interment at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
