Hamilton, Kenneth - Cambridge, Ont., formerly of Black Rock, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, in Sunnyside Home, Kitchener, Ontario. Kenneth Hamilton, 85 years of age, beloved husband of the late Emma. Ken was born in Nova Scotia to the late Weston and Hattie (Brydon) Hamilton. Loving father of Everette (Diny) and Ronald (Donna); he will be missed by his grandchildren, Jason (Lana) and Derek; great-grandchildren, Evan and Emma. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Little and Enid Saunders. Brother-in-law of Arthur Saunders; Cora Crocker; Marguerite (Richard) Corkum; Grace (Avard) Brown; Elaine Stahlbaum; Marie Schnare; Marg Schnare. Ken served as an artillery gunner during the Second World War, from 1939 - 1945. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch #69, Berwick, and the Hespeler Branch # 272. A Visitation and Royal Canadian Legion Service took place in the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, Ontario. There will be a visitation for Ken from 7-9 p.m., Monday in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where a Royal Canadian Legion and funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19. Pastor Tim Bigelow officiating, with burial in the East Black Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to any charity.
