Fredericks, Mida Thursa ÃÂ - 103,ÃÂ Chipman Brook, Kings Co., passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Irving Fredericks, on Monday, December 28, 2009. Born in the Forties, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Agnes (Bezanson) Hiltz.ÃÂ Mida was the oldest member of the Black Rock Baptist Church and was also a member of the Jolly Workers Sewing Circle. She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society.ÃÂ Mida was the world's best knitter. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her daughters, Ruth (Scott) McLean, Woodville; Edith (Glanville) Travis, Canning; sons, Nathan (Dora), Grand View Manor, Berwick; Albert (Doreen), Berwick; Irving (Connie),ÃÂ Chipman Brook; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by herÃÂ ÃÂ husband, James A. Fredericks; daughters, Clara Coleman; Agnes Morton; Jennie Moody; grandson, Earl Moody; eight sisters; three brothers. Visitation for Mrs. Fredericks will take place from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900), from where the funeral service will take place, 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 1. Rev. Freda MacDonald officiating, with burial in the Black Rock Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to the Black Rock Baptist Church, Parkinson Foundation of Canada or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
