Clarke (Smith) (McIsaac), Faye Muriel - 73, Halifax, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009, in the Halifax Infirmary, QE II, Halifax. Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (Sweeney) Smith. Faye had a special gift for helping people who were dealing with personal challenges and difficulties, This was evident during her years working at Adsum House and Byrony House, as well as working with autistic adults while living in England. Surviving are her husband, Denis A. Clarke, Halifax; daughter, Lorenda "Lori" (Daniel) Dorey, Berwick; son, Mark (Mary) McIsaac, Harbourville; daughter, Connie Morse (David) Clace, Mt. Uniacke; grandchildren, Jason and Shaun Dorey; Ayden McIsaac; Megan and Trevor Coles; sister, Marion (Bill) Boudreau, Shelburne and their children, Wendy, Steven and Cheryl; brother-in-law, Harry "Chum" (Val) Clarke and their sons, Darren and Andrew, England; and many other relatives in both Canada and England. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Frank McIsaac of Halifax. Visitation for Faye was held 2-4 p.m., Sunday, December, 6, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 7, in the Berwick United Church, 240 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Linda Winton officiated. Burial was in the Berwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Adsum House for Women and Children, 2421 Brunswick St., Halifax, N.S., B3A 2Z4 or to the Autism Society of Nova Scotia, P.O.
