80, New Minas, formerly of Kentville, passed away on June 25, 2009. Born in Kentville April 23, 1929, he was a son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Moore) DeAdder. Bud lived and worked in the Kentville area all of his life working with Canada Foods, V. C. Woodworth, Top Line Ventures and Standard Paving. Bud enjoyed nature, hunting and fishing. He was a "Pool Shark" and had his favorite spot and chair at Dooly's where he had many friends who loved and admired him. Bud was an avid Bingo player. Bud is survived by his sister, Dianne Charlotte Spinney, New Minas; 10 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bud was predeceased by his brother, Raymond, and sisters Mildred Alders and Rose Margeson. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers to be held at 3 p.m. today, all in H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 30 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Victorian Order of Nurses.
