64, Morden, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday November 8, 2008, at home. Born in Victoria Harbour, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Marjorie (Kenneally) Dempsey. Surviving are her husband, John T. Colville, Morden; daughters, Terry Lee & Suzanne Rizun, both of Edmonton, Alberta; Michelle Rizun, Calgary, Alberta; grandson, Tyler; son-in-law, Brian Reuter, Charlottesville, Virginia; brothers, Gerald "Jerry" (Barbara), Morden; Reginald "Reg" (Gena) ; Keith (Connie) Dempsey, all of Victoria Harbour; sisters, Doris Salsman, Coldbrook; Marilyn (Albert) Gray, Kingston; Doreen (Cecil Hussick) Dempsey, Petawawa, Ont.; several nieces & nephews. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by many family and friends who surrounded her. There will be no visitation. Funeral service for Laverna will take place 2 p.m. Friday November 14, in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 192 Commercial St., Berwick, N.S., B0P 1E0, (902-538-9900). Chaplain Jim Norton officiating.
