99- of Scott's Bay Road, Kings County., passed away August 21, 2008 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. He was a son of the late Lawson and Inez (Barkhouse) Brewster. Eldwin was a finished carpenter and for many years worked as a barrel maker with his father. Eldwin enjoyed hunting and playing the violin in his spare time. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Foote); sons, Lindsay and Lawrence; 2 grandchildren, Mitchell and Greg; great grandchildren, Ethan and Kai. Besides his parents, Eldwin was predeceased by sisters, Eileen (Rhodes), Stella (Channing), and Leila (Barkhouse). Visitation for Mr.Brewster will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, August 22 from the H.C.Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151), where a funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 23. Charles O'Regan and Eric Lockhart officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery following the service.
