96, New Minas, passed away peacefully Friday, June 27, 2008, in the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Montreal, Que., she was a daughter of the late James and Alma (Phaneuf) Meredith. Roseland lived her early years in Montreal and retired in the Valley, residing in New Minas. Roseland is survived by her friends, Mike, Jeanne and Paula Francis, Kathy, Jeff and Lauren Trask, and several nieces. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Brannen; brothers, Fred, Herbert, Frank; sisters, Elizabeth, Patricia, and Bertha. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time by family request. Arrangements are under the care of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave. Kentville (902-678-2151).
