88, of Melanson, passed away Saturday November 17, 2007 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Centreville Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Delsey (Ells) Langille. Viola was raised by her foster parents, the late James and Olevia Hardacker. Viola was a wonderfully kind person, with a big heart. Her family always came first. She loved flowers and will be fondly remembered for her sense of humour and her love of music and dancing. Viola was a loving mother, grand mother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. She is survived by her sons; Morris & his companion (Mae), Melanson; Manford (Carol), Grand Pre; Vernon (Nancy), Berwick; daughters; Joyce & her companion (Wayne), Windsor; Thelma (Stanley), Kingston; Linda (David), Coldbrook; 25 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Viola was predeceased by her husband Burton, son, Milton, daughter, Sheila, granddaughter, Ronda, brothers, Morris and Walter Langille, sisters, Nellie Ells; Agnes Mildred Gates and Beatrice Viola Langille. Visitation for Mrs. Coldwell was held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday November 20th in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday November 21st in the Gaspereau Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Manthorne and Rev. Robert Burbidge officiating. A private family burial took place in Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in Viola's memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
