83, Canning, passed away in the Windsor Elms, where he resided for the last several years on Monday, April 21, 2009. He was born in Cape Breton. Michael was a long-time resident of Canning. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the out of doors and going to flea markets. He also enjoyed cooking. His family and friends will sadly miss him. He was predeceased by his wife, Angeline (Dykens) Allison. He is survived by his sons, David (Valerie), of Greenwich; and Glendon (Darlene), of Wolfville; and daughter, Doreen (Sonny), of New Minas; grandchildren, Darby, Dylan, and Brady. Visitation for Mr. Allison will be held on today from 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service to be held on Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m., with Chaplin Jim Norton officiating, both in the H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville, (902) 678-2151. Interment will be in Lakeville Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
