72, East Dalhousie, Kings Co. passed away, Tuesday August 25, 2009 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Wolfville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Cross) Baltzer. Moe was loved by his family and many friends. He was known for his integrity and professionalism; wonderful sense of humour; and giving spirit. Moe was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his ATV, snowmobile as well as wine making. Moe has been involved in the construction industry most of his life through management, consultant or ownership activities. He was the Operations Manager at JW Rudderham (Sydney). He was also a co-owner of George W. Warner Plumbing and Heating (Glace Bay). He is a past member of the Construction Association. He was President of Big BBB's Glass. In semi-retirement, he enjoyed a consultant role in the construction glass industry. Moe was actively involved in his community. He is a Past Director at YMCA (Sydney); Treasurer and Past President of West Lake Torment Property Homeowners Association; Past President of Parkhill Condo Association; Vice President of Central Nova ATV Club. His personal pride is having achieved both silver and gold sniper awards through his extensive involvement in cadets. In recent months, during Moe's courageous battle with cancer, he was constantly surrounded by those who loved him. He leaves the world a better place and will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Rebecca (Burrows); son, Lawrence (Lisa); daughter, Elizabeth Dewan (Arthur); granddaughter, Sharon; brother, Joseph; and sister, Maggie. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, Kentville. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Thursday August 27 in H C Lindsay Funeral Home, 5 Leverett Ave., Kentville (902-678-2151) where a celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday August 28.
