BALCOM, Tina Mae -- 68, Port Williams, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2010, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mona (Parker) Hennigar. She was employed at the Wolfville Nursing Home for a number of years, and also at Chute's U-Pick and Farm Market. Tina enjoyed bingo, knitting, gardening, and cooking for family and friends which brought her great pleasure. She was very caring and loving, and was always concerned about the welfare of others before herself. Tina is survived by her loving partner of 43 years, Graham; her sons, James (Renee Forsythe), Joseph; her special "daughter", Pamela Schofield; grandchildren, Justin James and Brittany Skye; stepchildren, Betty Jean (Brian) Tupper, Brenda Mae (John) Hardacker, Sherri Lee, and step grandchildren, Ashley and Tyler Tupper, Taleena, Chanel, and "little" John Hardacker. Also surviving are sisters, Ida Hines (Dave Parker), Betty (Victor) MacDonald, Debbie (John) Hancock, and Sally Blizzard; brothers, Morris (Betty) Masters, Ronald Hennigar, Guy Hennigar, Carl (Barb) Hennigar, and Davy Hennigar. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Sally Hatchard. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie Brown, Pamela Schofield, Terri-Lynn and Kenneth MacEachern, and Sandra Usher. Cremation has taken place, and no visitation by request. Family flowers only by request, and donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The memorial service, followed by a reception, will be held on Friday, January 22, at 2 p.m. in Serenity Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 568 Main St., Wolfville, with Rev. David Ogilvie officiating.
