Obituary of Keith George Mumford
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Keith G. Mumford on Saturday October 18th, 2025 at the age of 83.
Keith is lovingly remembered by his children David (Karen) Mumford of Windsor, Suzanne (Bruce) Dickson of Miramichi, Lisa (Greg) Foote of Dartmouth, Jeanine Mumford of Dartmouth, John (Lesley) Mumford of Dartmouth, Sister In-Law Marlene Johns of Bedford as well as 13 grandchildren and one great Granddaughter.
Keith was predeceased by parents Rita (Renouf) and George Mumford as well as his wife of 42 years Erma (Johns).
Dad started his career in the mailroom of the provincial government and after receiving his degree in finance went on to work for the NS Department of Finance until he took an early retirement package in 1994 at the age of 52 and moved into his dream home in Montague Estates where he lived until his death.
Many of Dad’s favourite times were spent at the family cottage in East Linden along the Amherst Shore where he spent as much time in the summer as he could spending many days on the patio and having a drink or two with his family and friends on the beach. Dad was also an active and Lifetime Member of the Kinsman Club of Dartmouth.
We would like to extend a special thank you from our family to the QE2 Cancer Centre and Dr. Ravi and Nurse Janice for their continued and outstanding care, support and compassion over the last couple of years.
There will be a visitation on November 6th from 6-8 pm held at St. Lukes Anglican Church (9 Veterans Avenue) and a celebration of Dad’s life will be held at St. Lukes Anglican Church on November 7th at 11:00 am.
Memorial donation in Keith’s name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Lukes Anglican Church in Dartmouth.
