Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Savoury
September 6, 1953 – October 15, 2025

From Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, Debbie passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 72.

Debbie was predeceased by her beloved son, Edwin (Eddy) Savoury; her parents, Edwin Chapman and Ruth Goldsworthy; her stepfather, William (Billy) Goldsworthy; and her siblings, Melvin Chapman, Judy Hodges, and, very recently, Jacqueline Sweeney.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 55 years, Stephen Savoury; her daughter, Paula (Robert) MacDonald; and her cherished granddaughters, Lauren and Shayne. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara (Pat) Trider, Carolyn Chapman, and Paul (Kim) Chapman.

A talented and devoted crafter, Debbie spent much of her life creating beautiful handmade clothing and home crafts that were admired by many. In her later years, she found joy in the quiet moments—spending time with Stephen, watching true crime dramas, and tending to her garden in the peaceful surroundings of the home they built together.

The family would like to thank Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour for their incredibly kind, competent, and compassionate care, and for fulfilling Debbie’s wish to spend her final days at home in her community.

A private family service and interment will take place at a later date.
