Obituary of Stanley Joseph Dugas

Stanley Dugas, 65, of Yarmouth, passed away peacefully in the Digby Hospital on June 1, 2025.

A lifelong scallop fisherman, Stanley found fulfillment and purpose on the sea. His enduring passion for the ocean was a constant throughout his life.

Stanley is survived by his sons, Joseph Dugas (Jennah) and Matthew Dugas (Janette), and his beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Stella, and Brianna. He will also be fondly remembered by his loving siblings, Isabelle Taggart (David), Marie Nickerson (Kenny), Yvonne Townsend, Lucyann Nickerson and Isreal Dugas (Bernice).

Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Isreal and Isabelle Dugas; sister Michelle Dugas; brothers Foreman Dugas and Jimmy Dugas.

Stanley will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service.
