Obituary of Marie Fay Lewis

Marie Fay Lewis 90 years young of Kingston passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton after a brief illness. Born in Montreal, Quebec Marie was the daughter of Cora and Arthur Massicotte.

 Married to Cecil Lewis in 1954 Marie enjoyed 59 years of wedded bliss until Cecil’s passing in 2014. Marie enjoyed gardening, crafting, singing in the choir, and people in general. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed helping others through active engagement. Marie worked at the Aurora Inn, notably in the restaurant and had a flair for encouraging all to enjoy the fine deserts the menu had to offer.

Marie is survived by her daughter Deborah Fenske (Wendell) of Leduc, Alberta; son Roy Lewis (Judy) of Kelsey, Alberta and daughter Roxanne Piper (Frank) of Morinville, Alberta; grandchildren Scott and Jeffery Fenske, Cody Lewis, Ashley Tiernan, McKenzie and Shaye Piper; great grand children Brayden, Blake, Briggs, Atalia, Banks, Elise, Cohen, Shylah, John, Briggs and Enid and a great great-grand child Jonah.

In keeping with Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held in the All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston (521 Pleasant St) at 2:00 pm on Thursday May 29, 2025 with Rev Sue officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Institute for the Blind (Guide Dog program) or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Coldbrook, NS.
