Obituary of William Ira Macleod
William Ira MacLeod, 75 passed away peacefully in the Valley Regional Hospital on March 28, 2025. Born in Annapolis Royal on August 1, 1949, William was the son of the late, William and Evelyn (Wambolt) MacLeod.
During his successful 30-year career as an LPN, William was employed at Mountain View Country Home. After leaving Mountain View, he went on to work at the Kings Rehabilitation Centre before taking a position at the Valley Regional Hospital where he stayed until his retirement. William was also a Veteran Firefighter with the Berwick & District Fire Department.
William is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Ann (Lee) MacLeod; children, Veronica (David) Lutz and Scott; grandchildren, Renee (Daniel Keizer) Lutz and Brady; great grandchildren, Olivia Keizer and Mason Keizer; as well as his great grand dogs, Cooper, Lexi and Blaze.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to the staff in Medical A in the Valley Regional Hospital for the kindness and compassion that was shown to William and their family during this time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS B4R 1B9.
