Obituary of Robert Martin Curran

It is with great sadness that we announce, Robert Martin Curran, 60 of Canning passed away on March 2, 2025, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Kentville on July 11, 1964, Robert was the son of the late Hilary and Marguerite (Dill) Curran.

Robert was known to many people as, “Bobby” or “Bubba.” He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. With his last employer being Acadia Roofing, Robert knew the meaning of a hard day’s work. During his free time, he enjoyed playing a game of darts, cards or simply just socializing with friends and family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Crystal; stepchildren, Jamie (Allie) Hiltz and Jessie Leopold; step grandchildren, Violet and Bridget Hiltz; sisters, Nancy (Kenneth) Gould of Waterville, Debbie (Rick Miller) of Waterville, Margie of Waterville, Janet (Robert) Reese of Waterville, and Catherine (Donald) Balsh of Aylesford; brothers, David (Dianne) of Aylesford and Jeffery (Trudy) of Kentville; as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Joyce; brothers, Ronald, Michael, Raymond, and James; Brothers in law, Sonny and Darrel; niece Stephanie Curran as well as his nephew, Trevor Pelton.

There will be no Funeral Service as per Bobby’s request. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Cancer Society, Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS B4R 1B9
