Obituary of David Joseph Maillet

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with much sadness and a great sense of loss that we share with the world that David “Dave” (Frenchie) Joseph Maillet, aged 68, of Middle Sackville passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022.  Born in St. Alphonse, he was the son of the late Bernard and Cecile (LeBlanc) Maillet.

Dave will be remembered as a dedicated husband.  He truly loved and adored his partner of 38 years and could be found doing anything to support her and make her happy.  Dave was an extremely patient man and a hard worker throughout his life.  His quiet determination could never be matched.  Dave enjoyed days spent with his wife at their cottage in Wallace and the company of good friends and family.

He will be greatly missed.

Dave is survived by his wife Rose; step-son, Jerome; grandchildren, Hafsah and Nusayba; sisters, Jeanne Maillet (Jean Guy Belanger), Christine (Tina) Maillet (Charlie Lucas); sisters-in-law, Debbie Maillet and Dora Maillet; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Brian and Robert.

A special thanks to the Lower Sackville RCMP detachment and Search and Rescue for their assistance.

A small private Celebration of Life service will be held on a future date and burial will take place in St Alphonse at a future date.  Memorial donations are appreciated and may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
